This year’s annual Basic Education Certificate Examination has ended. It took off on Monday 7th of August,2023 and ended on Friday 11th August,2023 at 2,137 centers across the country, while fifteen centers mainly in the regional capitals was used for BECE private candidates.
The examination is designed for final year students in the Junior High School (JHS). Total number of students from both public and private institutions sum up to 600,714 candidates from 18,993 participating schools. They include 300,323 males and 300,391 females.
Per the views from the students, whilst some claim the exams went in their favor, others said the exams was difficult. On one account, a student from PRESEC known as Bright claimed he got a divine intervention and God helped him in writing his papers.
They wrote eight subjects which included; English language, Ghanaian language and Culture, Social Studies, Integrated Science, Mathematics, Basic Design And Technology, Religious And Moral Education, Information and Communication Technology and sometimes French.
The Bambini crew went out to seek the views of some candidates for the examination.
